Sometimes the most interesting things are the ones we almost miss.
Look Again invites artists to share work that rewards a closer look: an unexpected detail, a familiar subject seen from a different perspective, a pattern or texture that becomes something more, or an image that makes us stop and wonder exactly what we’re seeing.
We’re interested in pieces that encourage the viewer to pause, notice, and take a second look. Interpretations of the theme might include:
Patterns and repetition
Abstract representations of objects or places
Reflections
Textures
Unexpected details
Unique or unusual perspectives
Intriguing designs or compositions hidden in plain sight
Macro and close-up views that reveal something we might otherwise overlook
These are starting points, not limits. Work may be abstract or representational, carefully composed or discovered in the everyday. If your work invites someone to linger for another moment, see something differently, or notice what they might otherwise have passed by, it may belong in Look Again.
About Art at Good Company
Art at Good Company brings original work by local and regional artists into our coworking, meeting, and event space.
Curated by Harmony Larson, founder of Good Company Workspace, and Nancy Szostak Wright, nature and wildlife photographer, the series supports local creatives while giving members and guests an inspiring place to work, meet, and connect.
We’re delighted to discover and share the work of participating artists and look forward to creating an inspiring exhibition together.
Who Should Apply
Artists at all stages are welcome to apply. We’re seeking original, wall-hung work from local and regional artists in a variety of media, including:
Painting
Drawing
Photography
Printmaking
Collage
Fiber art
Mixed media
Other two-dimensional work
Artwork Guidelines
Artists may submit up to five pieces for consideration.
Selected artists will likely exhibit approximately four to five pieces, depending on artwork size and available space.
Artwork should be no larger than 24 x 24 inches, including the frame. Larger pieces may be considered individually.
All work must be original, clean, framed or professionally finished, and ready to hang with secure wire.
Sawtooth hangers cannot be accepted.
Accepted artwork must remain on display for the full exhibition.
Artwork may be offered for sale or marked not for sale.
Artists set their own prices and receive 100% of artwork sales. Good Company does not take a commission.
Reception and Artist Sales
We plan to hold a shared artist reception during the exhibition. The date TBD, likely in early December. Participating artists will have the opportunity to offer prints, cards, and other small items for sale from tabletop displays. Additional reception details will be shared with selected artists.
