Call for Artists: Growing Season
Good Company Workspace is looking for local artists to participate in Growing Season, the next exhibition in our Art at Good Company series, celebrating the beauty, abundance, and energy of late summer.
From vibrant flowers and flourishing vegetable gardens to herbs, pollinators, orchards, farms, fresh harvests, and wild landscapes, we're looking for artwork inspired by the richness of the growing season. We welcome a variety of mediums, including paintings, sketches, photography, mixed media, and printmaking.
We'll select up to five local artists, with each artist displaying 4 to 5 pieces throughout the workspace.
Exhibition Details
Theme: Artwork inspired by the growing season, including flowers, vegetables, herbs, pollinators, orchards, farms, harvests, and the beauty of late summer.
Artwork: Approximately 4 to 5 pieces per artist. Artwork should generally not exceed 24 × 24 inches (including the frame). Larger pieces may be considered based on available space.
Display Requirements: All artwork must be professionally wired and ready to hang.
Important Dates
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, July 22
Acceptance Notifications: Friday, July 24
Art Drop-Off: By appointment, Monday, July 27 through Thursday, July 30
Exhibit Runs: August 3 through September 30
Growing Season Garden Party: Date to be determined in collaboration with participating artists. See Artist Opportunities below.
Art Pick-Up (Unsold Work): By appointment, October 1 through October 3
Artist Opportunities
As a participating artist, you'll receive:
An invitation to the Growing Season Garden Party, a shared opening celebration featuring all of the exhibit artists. Meet visitors, talk about your work, and celebrate the exhibition together in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
An Artist Table during the Garden Party. Each participating artist will have a small space to display and sell a curated selection of prints, greeting cards, small originals, or other art-related items available for immediate purchase.
Social Media Promotion through Good Company's social media channels before and during the exhibition.
Artwork Sales throughout the exhibition using your personal Venmo QR code. Collectors will pick up purchased artwork on or shortly after September 30.
How to Apply
Please email harmony@goodcoworkspace.com by Wednesday, July 22 with:
A brief artist biography (up to 300 words)
A short artist statement (up to 150 words) describing your connection to the Growing Season theme. This statement will be displayed alongside your artwork.
Up to 5 high-quality JPG images (under 1 MB each) representing the artwork you would like considered. Images may also be used to promote the exhibition on social media.
Please note that all accepted artwork must be professionally wired and ready to hang.
If selected, you'll also be asked to provide a Venmo QR code so visitors can purchase your work during the exhibition.
